Tactile Maps

I have been designing tactile maps for 5 years. Each map is unique in its ability to stump and inspire my process. I wrote some things about tactile map design here.

The maps below were produced at LightHouse for the Blind in San Francisco. The street maps are by TMAP (Tactile Maps Automated Production), an automated mapping tool that generates tactile map files with unprecedented speed, cost, and usability.
